Szczytnicki Park is one of Wrocław’s largest and most atmospheric green spaces, offering a peaceful retreat just steps from the city’s cultural landmarks. Its origins date back to the 18th century, but the park took on its modern form during the 1913 Centennial Exhibition, when new paths, ponds, and gardens were introduced to create a harmonious landscape. Today, visitors can wander through a rich mix of natural woodland, open meadows, and carefully designed plantings that change beautifully with the seasons. One of the park’s highlights is the Japanese Garden, a serene enclave of bridges, water features, and traditional landscaping that adds an exotic touch to the surroundings. Nearby, the Pergola and the Multimedia Fountain bring lively energy to the area, especially during evening shows. With its blend of history, nature, and cultural attractions, Szczytnicki Park remains a beloved destination for relaxation, long walks, and quiet moments away from the city’s bustle.

Szczytnicki Park is located to the east of the Old Town in Wrocław, on Great Island (Wyspa Wielka) in the Śródmieście district, stretching between the Centennial Hall, the Pergola, the Wrocław Zoo and the Zwierzyniecki Bridge. Nearby you will find the Centennial Hall with its Multimedia Fountain at the Pergola, the Japanese Garden within the park, the Wrocław Zoo and Africarium, the Four Domes Pavilion housing the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the river‑side promenades along the Odra, all within easy walking distance from the main park entrances on Różyckiego, Mickiewicza and Parkowa streets.
