The Qwensel House, dating to around 1700, reveals the refined lifestyle of Turku’s gentry through Rococo and Gustavian‑style rooms restored with remarkable historical detail. Beside these elegant chambers, the 19th‑century pharmacy unfolds as a complete, self‑sufficient workplace, with its 1850s shop interior, materials room, laboratories, and herb room illustrating how medicines were once crafted by hand. The courtyard, an atmospheric slice of old Turku, becomes especially lively in summer with Café Qwensel and a children’s play‑pharmacy adding charm to the visit.
