World of Volvo in Gothenburg is a new cultural and experiential centre that celebrates the heritage, innovation, and future vision of the Volvo brand. Opened in 2024 in the city’s event district, it replaces the former Volvo Museum and expands the concept into a modern, immersive environment. Housed in a striking circular timber‑clad building designed by Henning Larsen, the centre blends Scandinavian architecture with sustainable materials, creating a warm and open atmosphere inspired by Swedish forests. Inside, visitors can explore Volvo’s evolution from its first cars in 1927 to contemporary electric vehicles and future mobility concepts, presented through interactive exhibits, iconic vehicles, scale models, and storytelling that highlights safety, design, and technological progress. The centre also hosts concerts, talks, workshops, and rotating exhibitions, making each visit different and dynamic. With spaces for events, a restaurant, and areas for relaxation, World of Volvo functions as both a museum and a social hub, offering an engaging journey through one of Sweden’s most influential brands in the heart of Gothenburg.

World of Volvo resides at Lyckholms Torg 1 in Gothenburg's emerging event district, centrally positioned south of Liseberg Amusement Park alongside the E6 motorway in Sweden. Opened in April 2024, it welcomes visitors via nearby tram stops at Liseberg Södra or Almedal, with easy public transport access from the city core and ample parking options. Liseberg Amusement Park thrills families moments away with rides and gardens; Universeum Science Center sparks discovery next door; Museum of World Culture offers global perspectives adjacent.
