Sustipan Park is one of Split’s most atmospheric coastal viewpoints, a quiet green peninsula overlooking the marina and the open Adriatic. Its beauty hides a poignant past: in the 19th century, Sustipan was the site of the city’s main cemetery, later removed, leaving behind a landscaped park filled with tall pines, stone paths, and traces of old funerary architecture. This blend of nature and memory gives the area a uniquely reflective character. Visitors can wander shaded terraces that open suddenly to dramatic sea panoramas. The cliffside viewpoints are among the best in Split, especially at sunset when the islands glow in the distance.
