Parque da Alameda is located in the heart of Santiago de Compostela, just west of the historic old town and a short walk from the cathedral’s west façade, in the city of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, north‑western Spain. The park sits on the edge of the old city, bordering the historic centre and the university campus, with its main entrance off Rúa do Campiño da Ferradura and close to the Paseo de Raxoi and Plaza de Galicia. Nearby sights include the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the Plaza del Obradoiro, the Church of San Fructuoso, the Museo de la Catedral, and the Museo das Peregrinacións e de Santiago, all within a few hundred metres’ walk. Close to the park are also the palace of Raxoi (City Hall), the Church of Santa Susana inside the park, the Pazo de Vaamonde, and the Museo Eugenio Granell, as well as the main university campus and the newer commercial district of the city.
