The Xardíns da Ferradura are a formal garden area within Parque da Alameda, located in the heart of Santiago de Compostela, just west of the historic old town, in the city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, north‑western Spain. The gardens are set along the Paseo da Ferradura, the tree‑lined walk that circles the outer edge of the Alameda Park, near the Lions Gate and the main entrances off Rúa do Campiño da Ferradura and the Paseo de Raxoi. They lie close to the historic centre, with the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, Plaza del Obradoiro, the Church of San Fructuoso, and the Museo de la Catedral just a short walk away, and they are also adjacent to the university campus and the newer commercial district around the city hall and Galicia’s main government buildings.
