Parque de Vista Alegre is located in the Vista Alegre neighbourhood, just southwest of Santiago de Compostela’s historic centre, in the city of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, in Galicia, north‑western Spain. The park occupies the walled grounds of Finca Simeón, bounded by Rúa de Tras Santa Isabel and close to the university’s North Campus, with its main entrance on Rúa de Tras Santa Isabel, 1, 15705 Santiago de Compostela. Nearby within or just outside the park are the Museo de Historia Natural Luis Iglesias (Natural History Museum), the old Casa da Conga granary (now Casa de Europa), the School of Advanced Musical Studies, and several university research centres. It is also close to the Hospital Real de Santiago and a short walk from the cathedral, Plaza del Obradoiro, and the old town, with other nearby green spaces including Parque de San Domingos de Bonaval and Parque do Monte Pío.
