Parque de Carlomagno is located in the eastern part of Santiago de Compostela, on the slopes of Monte de San Lázaro, just off the Camino de Santiago route as it approaches the city, in the city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, north‑western Spain. The park runs along Rúa de Roma and is set on a hillside above the city, offering a large green space with walking paths and a popular viewpoint (mirador) looking west over Santiago’s historic centre and cathedral. Nearby, at the foot of the hill, are the eastern entrance routes of the Camino de Santiago, and the park is close to the modern university campus, the City of Culture complex, and various residential neighbourhoods. It is also within walking distance of the historic centre, with the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, Plaza del Obradoiro, and the old town’s main streets and plazas a bit further down the hill.
