Saint John’s Hospital (Sint-Janshospitaal), now a museum, is located at Mariastraat 38 in the historic heart of Bruges, Belgium, directly adjacent to the towering Church of Our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk). Dating from the mid-12th century, it preserves Europe's oldest surviving hospital buildings along the canal-lined Mariastraat, just steps from the city center. Nearby stand the Gothic spire of Church of Our Lady housing Michelangelo's Madonna and Child sculpture, Groeninge Museum across the canal at Dijver 12, Gruuthuse Museum in the adjacent Gothic mansion, and the photogenic Rozenhoedkaai viewpoint.
