Bonifacius Bridge (Bonifaciusbrug), one of Bruges’ most photogenic early 20th-century stone pedestrian bridges, is located in the heart of the historic centre spanning the tranquil Dijver Canal in the Groeninge area, directly behind the Church of Our Lady. Easily reached on foot from Grote Markt in 5-10 minutes, or from Station Brugge via a short walk along Dijver with nearby parking at Centrum-'t Zand, it connects charming historic neighbourhoods amid overhanging half-timbered houses. Nearby stand the towering Gothic Church of Our Lady and Gruuthusemuseum to the east, Gruuthuse Bridge with its unique white Arents’ House just across the canal, Rozenhoedkaai quay a brief stroll north, and the scenic waterways leading south to Minnewater Lake.
