Grote Markt (Market Square) is located at the heart of Bruges’ historic centre in West Flanders, Belgium, at coordinates 51°12′30″N 3°13′28″E, covering about 1 hectare of cobbled plaza. This central hub is a quick 10-minute walk from Station Brugge or reachable via bus stop 502817 (Dijver) and Centrum-'t Zand car park. Dominated by the 83-metre Belfry on its south side, it features colourful stepped-gable guild houses and the neo-Gothic Provincial Court (former Waterhall). Nearby are Burg Square and Basilica of the Holy Blood just 0.2 miles east, the Church of Our Lady 0.3 miles south, Historium Brugge and Jan Breydel/Pieter de Coninck statue on-site, plus horse-drawn carriages, lively cafés, and seasonal markets like Wednesday gatherings or Winter Glow events.
