The Utrecht University Botanic Gardens are located at Budapestlaan 17, 3584 CD, on Fort Hoofddijk within Utrecht Science Park (De Uithof), about five kilometres east of Utrecht’s historic city centre. They sit in the heart of the university campus, surrounded by other Utrecht University buildings, student facilities and sports centres, with parking areas such as Parking Lot Budapestlaan, Parking Lot Padualaan and Parking Garage Olympos nearby, as well as tram and bus stops at Padualaan and Botanische Tuinen that link the gardens directly with Utrecht Central Station and the inner city.
