Corpus Christi Chapel is one of Kutná Hora’s most atmospheric Gothic monuments, standing just below the grand silhouette of St. Barbara’s Church. Built in the late 14th century as a ceremonial chapel for the Corpus Christi procession, it was intended to serve as a charnel house and ossuary, though this function was never fully realised. Its unfinished state gives it a rare, raw authenticity—an architectural snapshot of a project interrupted by shifting fortunes in the mining town. Inside, the chapel impresses with its stark stone interior and preserved ribbed vaults, which reveal the craftsmanship of medieval builders. The space is largely empty today, but this simplicity highlights the elegant geometry of the Gothic design. Visitors can admire the surviving tracery, narrow lancet windows, and the atmospheric play of light across the stone walls. The chapel also offers a quiet vantage point overlooking the valley and the nearby cathedral complex, making it a reflective stop on any historical walk through Kutná Hora.

The Chapel of Corpus Christi is located in Kutná Hora at Barborská 679, in the historic Vnitřní Město (Inner Town) district, just 500 metres from the main square and very close to the famous St. Barbara's Cathedral. It stands on Barborská Street, the same street that leads to the cathedral, making it easily accessible on foot from the town centre or the main train station. Today the chapel is open to the public and serves as an exhibition and concert space. It also features a viewpoint on its terrace that offers panoramic views of Kutná Hora and its surroundings. Entrance is available as part of the St. Barbara's Cathedral tour, or separately for a small fee. Opening hours vary by season, with longer hours from May to October. Nearby attractions include St. Barbara's Cathedral just a few steps away, the Jesuit College, the GASK (Central Bohemian Gallery), the Vinohrad Pod chrámem sv. Barbory vineyard viewpoint, the Gothic Stone Fountain, the Italian Court, and the Stone House. The Czech Museum of Silver and the medieval silver mine are also within walking distance. The famous Sedlec Ossuary is about 1.5 kilometres from the chapel and can be reached by foot or local bus.
