About

Founded in 2014 by cultural manager Andrei Breahnă and architect Raluca Șoaita, Gaep Gallery in Bucharest is a contemporary art space known for its evolving international programme. Originally named Eastwards Prospectus, the gallery rebranded in 2019 to reflect its broader curatorial scope, which now includes artists from diverse sociopolitical and generational backgrounds. Gaep has hosted over 40 exhibitions and participated in more than 30 international art fairs, earning accolades such as the Radio România Cultural Award and the Opening Prize at ARCOmadrid. In 2023, the gallery relocated to a newly renovated venue near Cinema Park Floreasca, offering expanded space for large-scale installations and public events. With a commitment to showcasing both emerging and established artists, Gaep continues to foster cross-cultural dialogue and push the boundaries of contemporary art practice.
