Established in the 1960s, the park spans 94 hectares and was designed as the main leisure area for southern Bucharest. Its landscape features tree-lined paths, open lawns, and a large lake, making it a popular destination for relaxation and outdoor activities. The park is home to Orășelul Copiilor (Children’s Town), a lively amusement area with carousels, trampolines, and rides for all ages. Nearby, the Polyvalent Hall hosts concerts and sporting events, adding to the park’s dynamic atmosphere.
