Galerie Drees is one of Hanover’s leading venues for contemporary art, showcasing international and emerging talent in a spacious, industrial setting. Founded in 1999 by Robert Drees, the gallery is located in a former factory building at Weidendamm 15 in the Nordstadt district. With over 300 square meters of exhibition space, Galerie Drees presents four to five curated exhibitions annually, featuring painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation art. Its program includes both established artists and promising newcomers from Germany, the UK, Finland, Korea, Spain, and beyond. The gallery is known for its conceptual group shows and its permanent project space “OUTLOOK,” which highlights experimental and cutting-edge works. Over the past 25 years, Galerie Drees has built strong ties with collectors, institutions, and museums, serving as a trusted platform for artistic exchange and discovery.
