The Aalborg Defence and Garrison Museum is located at Skydebanevej 22, 9000 Aalborg, in the western part of Aalborg, Denmark, housed in a massive seaplane hangar built by German occupation forces during World War II. Originally part of the German Seefliegerhorst Aalborg seaplane base established in 1940, the museum opened in 2002 and showcases Danish military history covering the Army, Air Force, Home Guard, Police, and Civil Defence from World War II to present day. Nearby attractions include Racing Arena Aalborg just 0.5 kilometers away, Springeren – Maritime Experience Centre approximately 0.7 kilometers distant, and the iconic Aalborg Tower about 2 kilometers from the museum.
