Aalborg Zoo is one of Denmark’s most popular family attractions, offering an engaging blend of wildlife, education, and conservation in the heart of the city. Established in 1935, the zoo is home to more than a hundred exotic species, including African elephants, Borneo orangutans, Asian lions, and the famous polar bears that have become a signature highlight. Location

Aalborg Zoo is located at Mølleparkvej 63 in the Hasseris district, just a short distance southwest of central Aalborg and about a 15–25 minute walk from the city hall and main shopping streets. It sits in a green area alongside Aalborg Climbing Park and close to major attractions on the same hillside, including Aalborg Tower, KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, Kildeparken and the Park of Music. From the zoo it is easy to continue into the city centre for sights such as Budolfi Cathedral, Aalborg Historical Museum and the pedestrian zone, all reachable by a short bus ride from Aalborg Station or by a pleasant walk along Vesterbro and Hasserisvej.
