Muzeum olomouckých tvarůžků celebrates one of Moravia’s most distinctive culinary icons: the famously aromatic Olomouc curd cheese. Location

Muzeum olomouckých tvarůžků is not in Olomouc itself, but in the nearby town of Loštice, about 20 kilometres southeast of the city. It is located on Palackého street in the centre of Loštice, in the former production building of the A.W. company that still makes the famous cheese. The museum is in the small historic town of Loštice, known for its well‑preserved town square, picturesque houses, and a rich tradition of producing Olomoucké tvarůžky cheese. The town itself is a pleasant place to walk around, with a charming main square and traditional Moravian architecture. From Loštice, it is easy to drive or take a short bus ride to Olomouc, where you can visit the main sights: Horní náměstí with the Holy Trinity Column, the Town Hall, and the Astronomical Clock, as well as Saint Wenceslas Cathedral and the Archdiocesan Museum. The wider Olomouc region also offers several castles, including Bouzov Castle about 30 minutes away, and nature sites such as the Moravian Karst caves.
