Atelier Hermann Haller is a beautifully preserved sculptor’s studio in Zürich’s Seefeld district, offering an intimate look into the working world of one of Switzerland’s most important 20th‑century artists. Hermann Haller lived and worked here from 1922 until his death in 1950, and the space has remained remarkably unchanged. Entering the atelier feels like stepping directly into his creative process. Inside, you’ll find plaster models, tools, sketches, and unfinished works arranged just as Haller left them. The large north‑facing windows flood the studio with soft, even light—ideal for sculpting—and give the room a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. Many visitors are struck by the contrast between the modest workspace and the monumental bronze sculptures Haller produced for public spaces across Switzerland. The adjoining exhibition room hosts small rotating shows that explore themes such as portraiture, bronze casting, and the evolution of modern sculpture.
