The Regency Town House

The Regency Town House
About

The Regency Town House stands at 13 Brunswick Square in Hove, a Grade I–listed terraced home completed in the 1820s as part of architect Charles Busby’s Brunswick Town estate. Carefully restored by the Brunswick Town Charitable Trust and dedicated volunteers, its high-ceilinged rooms, original mouldings and period finishes reveal the elegance of Regency architecture while tracing the social history of Brighton & Hove between the 1780s and 1840s. Open by pre-booked tour from April to October, the Town House operates as a vibrant heritage centre and museum, hosting guided visits that illuminate the daily rituals of its original residents and craftsmen. Its lovingly conserved parlours, servant basements and ornamental finishes serve both as public exhibition spaces and as a versatile venue for art displays, intimate recitals and educational workshops. With its meticulous attention to historical authenticity and community-driven programming, The Regency Town House offers an immersive journey into Brighton’s past, inspiring all who pass through its iconic doors.
