Brighton Open Air Theatre, affectionately known as BOAT, is a 400-seat amphitheatre set within the green expanse of Dyke Road Park, Brighton BN3 6EH. Established in 2015 as the legacy of local playwright Adrian Bunting, it has quickly become one of the UK’s leading outdoor performance spaces. Designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, the theatre offers audiences an intimate connection with the stage, whether under summer sunshine or evening skies. Each season, running from May to September, BOAT presents a vibrant programme of theatre, music, comedy, dance, opera, circus and family shows, welcoming both internationally renowned companies and emerging local talent. Operated as a registered charity, it champions accessibility and community engagement, providing a platform for artists from all backgrounds.
