FENIX is one of Rotterdam’s newest cultural landmarks, a museum dedicated to the global story of migration and housed in a transformed 1923 warehouse on Katendrecht. FENIX Rotterdam is located at Paul Nijghkade 5, 3072 AT Rotterdam, on the Katendrecht peninsula along the southern bank of the Maas river in the Rijnhaven harbour area. This former 1923 warehouse, now a migration-focused museum and cultural hub, is easily reached by a 12-minute walk from Wilhelminaplein metro station, water taxi from Hotel New York, or Rijnhaven metro, with nearby parking at World Port Center or Rijnhaven. Nearby attractions include the Fenix Food Factory with its international food stalls, Hotel New York historic landmark, Wilhelminapier waterfront promenade, trendy Katendrecht cafes and restaurants, SS Rotterdam ship hotel, and stunning views of the Erasmusbrug and working harbour cranes.
