Kierikki Stone Age Centre in Oulu is an immersive archaeological destination where Finland’s prehistoric past is brought vividly to life. Located on the banks of the Iijoki River, the centre combines a modern exhibition building with a reconstructed Stone Age village based on extensive research and excavations. The village offers hands‑on experiences such as stone tool crafting, archery and other survival skills that reveal how communities once lived in the northern wilderness. Location

Kierikki Stone Age Centre is located at Pahkalantie 447A, 91200 Oulu, in the Yli-Ii area, about 50–55 km north of Oulu city centre, on the northern bank of the Iijoki River. Nearby, you can combine a visit with outdoor nature and heritage stops such as the Stone Age Village and trail area at the centre itself, plus places like Turkansaari Open-air Museum, Pilpasuo, Letonniemi Nature Preserve, and Oulu Castle further around the Oulu region.
