The Kurfürstliches Schloss Mainz, also known as the Electoral Palace, is located directly on the banks of the Rhine River in Mainz. This striking sandstone-red Renaissance building stretches 75 meters along the Rhine and showcases its historical significance as the former residence of the Prince-elector and Archbishop of Mainz. The palace stands near other notable landmarks such as the former Deutsche Orden House and the New Armory, and it is situated close to Mainz’s historic Old Town, providing easy access to cultural attractions, shops, and restaurants. The Electoral Palace is famously known as the venue for the televised Mainz Carnival show "Mainz bleibt Mainz, wie es singt und lacht."
