Kasprowy Wierch is one of Zakopane’s most iconic peaks, rising 1,987 metres above sea level and offering some of the most spectacular panoramas in the Tatra Mountains. Easily accessible thanks to the historic cable car operating since 1936, it attracts visitors year‑round, from hikers and skiers to those simply seeking breathtaking views. The ride itself is a memorable experience, climbing steeply over forests and rocky ridges before reaching the high‑mountain landscape of the alpine zone. At the summit, guests can explore marked trails leading toward Świnica, Goryczkowa, or the ridge of the Western Tatras, while in winter the area becomes one of Poland’s premier ski destinations with long, natural snow slopes. Kasprowy Wierch is a mountain peak in the Tatra National Park, located about 4–5 km south of Zakopane town centre, right on the Polish–Slovak border in the Western Tatras. Nearby you will find the Kasprowy Wierch cable car station in the village of Kuźnice, ski slopes and winter‑sports facilities at the Kasprowy Wierch ski resort, popular hiking routes in the Bystra and Gąsienicowa valleys, as well as local restaurants and guesthouses in Kuźnice and the upper Zakopane area, with easy access from the Zakopane centre and the Krupówki promenade slightly further to the north.
