The Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia-Thrace in Thessaloniki is in a lovely, quieter part of the city, housed in a beautiful old mansion that is worth seeing by itself. The address is 68 Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, Thessaloniki 546 42, Greece. It's located on one of the most elegant streets in Thessaloniki, a bit southeast of the city center, not far from the waterfront. The area is known for its old villas and green streets, so it's a pleasant place for a walk. Even though it feels a bit away from the busy center, you are still close to many sights. A short walk towards the sea brings you to the waterfront promenade and the famous White Tower of Thessaloniki. Nearby you also have the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki and the Museum of Byzantine Culture, which are just a few minutes away by car or bus. Along Vasilissis Olgas Avenue you will find other historic buildings like Villa Allatini and Villa Bianca, and if you continue towards the center you reach Aristotelous Square, the Arch of Galerius, and lots of traditional cafes and shops.
