Tempelhofer Feld, located in Berlin, is one of the world's largest inner-city open spaces, encompassing approximately 355 hectares. Originally used as farmland, it became a military parade ground in the 18th century. In the early 20th century, it transformed into Tempelhof Airport, which played a pivotal role during the Berlin Airlift of 1948–49, supplying West Berlin amidst the Soviet blockade. The airport ceased operations in 2008, and by 2010, the area was reopened to the public as a park. Today, Tempelhofer Feld serves as a vast recreational area, offering space for activities like cycling, skating, and picnicking.
