Monbijoupark is a green oasis in the heart of Berlin’s Mitte district, offering a peaceful retreat along the banks of the Spree River. Located at Oranienburger Str. 78, 10178 Berlin, the park spans approximately four hectares and is surrounded by cultural landmarks such as Museum Island, the Neue Synagogue, and the Friedrichstadt-Palast. Originally the site of Monbijou Palace, which was destroyed during World War II and later demolished in 1959, the area was transformed into a public park. Today, Monbijoupark features expansive lawns, a promenade, and recreational spaces, making it a popular destination for relaxation and outdoor activities. A footbridge connects the park to Museum Island, providing easy access to Berlin’s renowned museums2. The park also includes a children’s swimming pool, playgrounds, and a Freeletics training ground, catering to visitors of all ages.
