The DialogMuseum Frankfurt is a one-of-a-kind cultural experience that invites visitors to discover the world without sight. Located at the Hauptwache in the heart of the city, it is best known for its groundbreaking exhibition “Dialogue in the Dark,” where blind or visually impaired guides lead small groups through completely darkened spaces. Everyday situations such as walking through a park, visiting a café, or crossing a street are reimagined in total darkness, creating a powerful role reversal that sharpens the senses and fosters empathy. This immersive journey challenges perceptions, encouraging participants to rely on hearing, touch, and smell while engaging in meaningful dialogue with their guides. In addition to its core exhibition, the museum offers innovative features such as the Klangraum, a sound installation that allows visitors to feel music with their whole body, and interactive stations in the foyer that explore perception and empathy. Since its founding in 2005 and reopening in a new central location in 2021, the DialogMuseum has become both a social enterprise and a cultural landmark, combining inclusion, education, and creativity in a way that leaves a lasting impression on all who enter.

The DialogMuseum in Frankfurt am Main is located at An der Hauptwache, B-Ebene, Passage 10 (Roßmarkt), 60313 Frankfurt am Main, right in the heart of the city’s main shopping and transport hub at Hauptwache station. This unique museum offers an immersive sensory experience led by blind or visually impaired guides, inviting visitors to explore life without sight through its “Dialogue in the Dark” exhibition. Nearby, visitors can access public transportation easily with underground lines U1 to U3 and U6 to U8, as well as S-Bahn lines S1 to S6 and S8 to S9 at Hauptwache station.
