The Geldmuseum of the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt am Main is a unique institution that brings the complex world of money and monetary policy to life in an engaging and accessible way. Located at the Bundesbank’s headquarters on Wilhelm-Epstein-Straße, the museum explores the history, functions, and future of money through four themed areas: cash, book money, monetary policy, and global money. Visitors can learn how banknotes are produced, discover the role of central banks, and understand how money shapes economies and everyday life. More than 60 interactive media stations, eye-catching exhibits, and a 360° cinema make the experience both educational and entertaining, while highlights such as the opportunity to touch a real gold bar leave a lasting impression. The museum also presents historical perspectives, tracing the evolution of currency from ancient coins to the euro, and offers temporary exhibitions that address current financial topics. With free admission and a design that welcomes all age groups, the Geldmuseum serves as both a learning center and a cultural attraction, making the abstract world of finance tangible for the public.

The Geldmuseum der Deutschen Bundesbank is located at Wilhelm-Epstein-Straße 14 in the Bockenheim district of Frankfurt am Main. The museum is housed in the Bundesbank’s Central Office building, with its entrance about 100 meters left of the main Bundesbank entrance. It offers visitors an interactive experience about money, cash production, monetary policy, and the global role of money. The museum is accessible by public transportation, with U-Bahn lines U1, U2, U3, and U8 stopping at Dornbusch station, followed by a short bus ride or walk along Am Dornbusch street. Nearby are the pleasant residential and business neighborhoods of Bockenheim, with limited visitor parking available in front of the museum.​
