Las Wolski is one of Kraków’s largest and most captivating natural areas, offering a vast forested landscape just minutes from the city centre. Within its boundaries lie several popular attractions, including the Kraków Zoo, the historic Camaldolese Monastery in Bielany, and the picturesque Przegorzały Castle. Location

Las Wolski, also known as Wolski Forest, is located in the western part of Kraków between the Wola Justowska and Bielany districts, around 8 km from the Main Market Square and forming part of the Bielańsko‑Tyniecki Landscape Park. The forest spreads over more than 400 hectares of hills and woodland along ulica Kasy Oszczędności Miasta Krakowa and Aleja Żubrowa, creating a vast green belt above the city. Within and around Las Wolski you will find key attractions such as Kraków Zoo, the Piłsudski Mound on Sowiniec Hill, the baroque Camaldolese Monastery on Srebrna Góra and several rocky nature reserves, while the historic centre of Kraków and Błonia meadow are reachable in about 20–30 minutes by public transport.
