Park Lotników Polskich is one of Kraków’s largest and most dynamic urban parks, stretching between the districts of Czyżyny and Grzegórzki. Originally created in the mid‑20th century, it has evolved into a spacious green landscape ideal for recreation, relaxation, and outdoor events. Wide lawns, long walking paths, and clusters of mature trees create a welcoming environment for joggers, cyclists, and families. The park is also home to the Tauron Arena, whose modern architecture contrasts with the natural surroundings and brings cultural and sporting life to the area. Park Lotników Polskich is located in the Czyżyny district of eastern Kraków, stretching between Aleja Jana Pawła II and Aleja Pokoju, about 4–5 km from the historic city centre. The park lies directly beside the Tauron Arena Kraków events hall and the campuses of the University of Physical Education and the Mechanical Faculty of Kraków University of Technology, with tram stops such as AWF, Park Lotników and Tauron Arena Kraków providing easy access. On its northern side it borders residential areas and the Polish Aviation Museum with its former airfield, while to the south, across Aleja Pokoju, stands the M1 shopping centre, making the park a large green recreational belt framed by sports, academic, cultural and retail attractions.
