The Amber Museum in Gdańsk is housed in the historic Great Mill (Wielki Młyn) at Wielkie Młyny 16, just on the northern edge of the Old Town, a short walk from the main pedestrian route along Długa Street and Długi Targ. It is close to St Mary’s Basilica, the Long Market with the Neptune Fountain, the Main Town Hall and Mariacka Street, known for its amber jewellery shops, while the Motława riverfront and the medieval Crane are also within easy walking distance through the compact historic centre.
