About

The Museum of the Catholic University of Lublin presents the rich intellectual and artistic heritage of one of Poland’s oldest academic institutions. Established in 2016, it brings together collections once dispersed across several university units, including artworks gathered since the 1930s, archival documents, and archaeological finds from regional excavations. Housed in the historic former Dominican refectory within the Main Building, the museum highlights centuries of religious art, academic tradition, and cultural memory. Although currently closed to visitors, it continues its mission through temporary thematic exhibitions that explore the university’s history and its remarkable holdings, ranging from medieval and early modern art to unique artefacts linked to the region’s past.

The Museum of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is located at Al. Racławickie 14, in central Lublin, inside the main university building, room 29. It is in a well-connected city-centre area, close to the Catholic University of Lublin campus and along one of the city’s main avenues, with easy access to nearby academic buildings, services, and public transport.
