Ogród Saski is Lublin’s oldest public park and one of its most cherished green spaces, established in 1837 on former Dominican lands and designed in the English landscape style. Over the 19th century it evolved into an elegant recreational garden, once enclosed by ornate fencing with a gate and gatekeeper’s lodge, the latter still standing today. Its gently rolling terrain, tree‑lined avenues, and diverse plantings made it a favourite promenade for the city’s residents, especially during the interwar years when the park flourished as a social hub. After periods of decline, a major revitalisation completed in 2013 restored its historic layout, pond, concert shell, and pathways, enhancing both its beauty and accessibility. Today Ogród Saski remains a peaceful retreat near Aleje Racławickie, valued for its heritage, natural charm, and role as a vibrant urban oasis.

This green oasis features winding paths, a central pond with fountains, 2500 trees including a historic white poplar, benches, a children's playground, octagonal gazebo, and seasonal flowers, hosting outdoor concerts, events, and weekly parkruns. Nearby, find the John Paul II Catholic University (70m), vibrant Krakowskie Przedmieście pedestrian street (300-500m) with shops, cafes, and historic townhouses leading to Kraków Gate and Old Town (1.5km), Litewski Square's multimedia fountains, Centre for the Meeting of Cultures, and easy access to public transport along Racławickie Avenue, blending nature with urban cultural hotspots.
