Teatr Muzyczny w Lublinie is the city’s leading stage for operetta, musical, and light opera, with roots reaching back to 1947, when it emerged from the post‑war private musical theatre founded by Antoni Niemczynowski. Over the decades it evolved through several forms, including the Państwowa Operetka, before becoming the modern Teatr Muzyczny w Lublinie. Since 2000 it has been based in the long‑awaited “Teatr w Budowie,” now part of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures, where it performs in a spacious, contemporary auditorium. The theatre is known for its lively repertoire, ranging from classic operettas and beloved musicals to family productions and large‑scale concerts.
