The Apple Museum in Prague was once home to the world’s largest private collection of Apple products, located in the city’s historic Old Town. Opened in 2015, it showcased over 500 items spanning from the Apple I to modern iPhones, along with memorabilia from Steve Jobs, NeXT, and Pixar. Visitors could explore interactive exhibits, timelines, and tributes—including a portrait of Jobs made from iMac components and a replica of his garage. The museum also featured a vegan restaurant named Stevens Food, inspired by Jobs’ dietary preferences. Despite its popularity among tech enthusiasts and Apple executives, the museum closed permanently in 2020 following internal disputes and a theft scandal involving its collection. Though no longer operational, the Apple Museum remains a fascinating chapter in Prague’s cultural landscape, reflecting the global impact of Apple and the legacy of its visionary founder.

The Apple Museum in Prague is located at Husova 21, in the heart of the Old Town district, just west of the iconic Old Town Square. This museum houses the world’s largest private collection of Apple products, showcasing around 500 items across more than 700 square meters. Visitors can explore the evolution of Apple devices from the company’s founding in 1976 through to 2012, including early models like the Apple I and II, the first Macintosh, various iMacs, iPods, iPhones, and rare prototypes. The museum also features exhibits related to Steve Jobs, including personal memorabilia and quotes, as well as products from related companies like NeXT and Pixar. Situated in a small historic alley, the museum is easily accessible via the Staroměstská metro station (line A). Nearby attractions include the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock, the Charles Bridge, and numerous cafés and shops, making it a perfect stop for tech enthusiasts exploring Prague’s vibrant city center. The museum also offers a vegan café named “Stevens Food,” inspired by Steve Jobs’ lifestyle, enhancing the visitor experience.
