Prague Planetarium, located in the lush Stromovka Park, is one of the largest and most advanced planetariums in the world. Opened in 1960, it now features a revolutionary fully digital LED dome—the first of its kind in Europe—offering an immersive space experience with unmatched image quality. The main hall, Cosmorama, spans 23.5 meters in diameter and seats up to 210 visitors beneath a 15-meter-high dome. Beyond its cutting-edge visuals, the planetarium is a hub for astronomy education, hosting engaging programs for families, schools, and curious minds of all ages. The Prague Planetarium is located at Královská obora 233, in the Holešovice area of Prague 7, situated within the Stromovka Park, one of the city's largest and most popular green spaces. The planetarium features one of the world's largest projection domes, measuring 23.5 meters in diameter, equipped with state-of-the-art digital and optomechanical projectors that create highly detailed and immersive star shows and cosmic presentations. It offers various educational programs, shows in Czech and English, and interactive exhibits including simulators of Mars and the Moon. Nearby, visitors can enjoy a stroll through Stromovka Park itself, which provides scenic walking paths and a peaceful natural environment. Close to the planetarium are the Výstaviště Exhibition Grounds, a historic site hosting exhibitions and events, and the Lapidárium, an outdoor sculpture museum. The area also hosts the National Technical Museum and the National Gallery's modern art collection, making it a rich cultural district.
