Havlíčkovy Sady, also known as Grébovka Park, is Prague’s second-largest green space, nestled in the elegant Vinohrady district. Inspired by Italian Renaissance gardens, the park features terraced vineyards, romantic gazebos, fountains, and the striking Neo-Renaissance Villa Gröbe. Originally built in the late 19th century by industrialist Moritz Gröbe, the villa overlooks a functioning vineyard that still produces local wine. Visitors can enjoy tastings at the charming wooden pavilion or explore the whimsical Grotta—a man-made cave evoking 19th-century romanticism. The park’s winding paths, playgrounds, and panoramic views of Prague make it a favorite for families, joggers, and wine lovers alike. At its heart stands the neo-Renaissance Gröbe Villa, once the summer residence of industrialist Moritz Gröbe, surrounded by vineyards that still produce local wine. The park is easily accessible by public transport, with the nearest tram stops at Krymská and Otakarova, both within a 10-minute walk.
