The Fruchtkasten – Musikinstrumentenmuseum Stuttgart, also known as the Haus der Musik, offers a rich and immersive journey through the history of musical instruments. Located in the historic Fruchtkasten building on Schillerplatz, this museum is part of the Landesmuseum Württemberg and showcases one of Germany’s most significant collections of historical instruments. Visitors can explore keyboard instruments from the 17th to 20th centuries, including a double grand piano by Pleyel and a French harpsichord from the time of Louis XIV, many of which are still played during concerts and guided tours.
