The Swabian Observatory e.V. (Schwäbische Sternwarte e.V.) in Stuttgart is one of Germany’s oldest public observatories, dedicated to astronomy education and community engagement since 1919. Perched on the Uhlandshöhe hill in Stuttgart-Ost, the observatory was founded by astronomer and author Robert Henseling and opened to the public in 1922.
