Piłsudskiego Park, commonly known as Park na Zdrowiu, is the largest and one of the most cherished green spaces in Łódź, stretching across nearly 190 hectares on the western side of the city. Established in the early 20th century on former municipal forest land, it was shaped over decades by successive landscape architects who sought to preserve woodland character while creating areas for recreation and sport. Wide avenues lined with linden and ash trees, expansive meadows, ponds and winding paths form a landscape ideal for walking, cycling and quiet relaxation. The park is also home to major city institutions, including the zoo and the botanical garden, as well as historical monuments commemorating local heritage. Its scale and natural diversity make it a vital refuge for residents, offering space for leisure, family outings and contact with nature. Piłsudskiego Park (Park im. Józefa Piłsudskiego), also known as Park Zdrowie or Park "Na Zdrowiu," is located along Konstantynowska Street in the Bałuty district of northern Łódź, Poland, spanning 100 hectares as one of the city's largest green spaces. This historic park, established in the 19th century, features ponds, walking paths, playgrounds, climbing structures, cherry blossom avenues that bloom vibrantly in spring, and recreational zones ideal for picnics and relaxation. Nearby attractions include Łódź Zoo and Botanical Garden directly bordering the park for seamless family outings; Aquapark Fala water park adjacent for aquatic fun; Atlas Arena and Stadion ŁKS sports venues 1-2 km south; Park Źródliska and Palmiarnia Łódzka Palm House eastward in the green corridor; plus Piotrkowska Street and city center about 3 km south.
