Palmiarnia Łódzka is one of the city’s most atmospheric attractions, a lush tropical haven set within the historic Park Źródliska. Opened to the public in 1956, it continues the legacy of 19th‑century factory owners who cultivated exotic plants in their private orangery gardens. Today the modern glass pavilions house more than a thousand species, including towering palms over 150 years old, vibrant orchids, bromeliads, cacti and dense subtropical foliage. Winding paths, small ponds and carefully arranged rockeries create an immersive landscape that feels far removed from the urban surroundings. The warm, humid climate makes the palm house a favourite retreat in every season, offering a peaceful escape as well as an educational experience for visitors of all ages. Together with the adjacent Botanical Garden, Palmiarnia Łódzka stands as a living archive of the city’s botanical heritage and a year‑round oasis of greenery in the heart of Łódź.

This historic Palm House, part of the Botanical Garden complex and opened to visitors in 1956, features three pavilions housing over 4,500 plants from 1,100 taxa across Mediterranean, tropical, and desert climates, including century-old specimens.
