Julianowski Park, officially named after Adam Mickiewicz, is one of Łódź’s most picturesque historic parks, shaped across centuries on land once belonging to noble estates and later to industrialist Juliusz Heinzel. Laid out in the late 19th century as a landscaped garden surrounding Heinzel’s Renaissance‑inspired palace, it originally featured grand stairways, fountains, exotic trees and expansive water terraces. Although the palace was destroyed during World War II, the park retained much of its romantic character, enriched by mature linden avenues, old oaks and the serene ponds fed by the Sokołówka River. After the war, the grounds were redesigned with a more natural, scenic layout, adding a concert shell, recreational areas and walking paths that follow the gentle contours of the valley. Today Julianowski Park remains a beloved retreat, often compared to a smaller version of Warsaw’s Łazienki, offering peaceful lakeside views, shaded trails and a harmonious blend of history and greenery in the northern part of Łódź.

Julianowski Park, officially Park im. Adama Mickiewicza, is located in the Bałuty district of northern Łódź, Poland, on the Julianów estate spanning 49.4 hectares along the Sokołówka River valley, bordered by streets including Zgierska, Sowińskiego, Jaworowa, Folwarczna, Aleja Róż, and Karłowicza. This historic park features ponds, a concert shell, diverse tree species like Crimean limes and magnolias, playgrounds, sports fields, and memorials to WWII soldiers and scouts, offering scenic walks amid forested areas and recreational zones. Nearby attractions include Park Zdrowie (Piłsudskiego Park) and Łódź Zoo about 2 km south; Aquapark Fala and Botanical Garden eastward; Park Ocalałych further south; plus city center sites like Piotrkowska Street roughly 4 km away for a green-to-urban transition.
