Poniatowski Park is one of the most historic and elegant green spaces in Łódź, created between 1904 and 1910 on former municipal forest land as part of the city’s early urban planning. Designed with a blend of English‑style natural landscaping and French‑inspired symmetry, it features long, straight alleys, open lawns and shaded corners that give the park its distinctive, orderly character. Over the decades its boundaries changed as the city expanded, yet the park retained its charm, enriched by a diverse tree collection that includes several natural monuments. A picturesque pond with a small island, a concert shell and recreational areas add to its appeal, while traces of its complex past remain visible in wartime memorials and preserved landscape features. Today Poniatowski Park is a beloved retreat for walkers, families and nature enthusiasts, offering a harmonious balance of greenery, history and quiet urban escape in the heart of Łódź.

Poniatowski Park (Park im. Józefa Poniatowskiego) is located in central Łódź, Poland, bordered by Piotrkowska Street to the east, spanning from roughly ul. Przędzalniana southward along key city axes, covering about 23 hectares as one of the largest urban parks. Established in the interwar period, it features wide allées, a large pond with ducks, a modern fountain, tennis courts, playgrounds, bike paths, and English garden-style lawns perfect for running loops or picnics. Nearby attractions include Piotrkowska Street's vibrant promenade and sculptures immediately east; Freedom Square 0.5 miles north; Grand Theatre and Pasaż Róży art passage close by; EC1 cultural complex with Planetarium 1 mile southeast; Manufaktura mall 1.5 miles south; plus connecting green corridors to Źródliska Park and Palmiarnia Łódzka Palm House.
