The museum is named after Jan Bouman, the Dutch architect who designed the quarter, and is housed in one of the original gabled brick houses from 1735. Inside, visitors can explore exhibitions about the history, architecture, and restoration of the Dutch Quarter, with rooms furnished in authentic 18th-century style.
