Sperl Galerie Potsdam is a long-standing contemporary art gallery known for its commitment to modern and postmodern expression in painting and sculpture. Founded in 1991 by Ursula and Rainer Sperl, the gallery began in the Holländisches Viertel and has since moved through several locations, now residing at Brandenburger Straße 40. Over the decades, Sperl Galerie has curated ambitious exhibitions featuring national and international artists, with a focus on originality, craftsmanship, and conceptual depth. Signature projects like “10 aus Europa für Potsdam” and “Offene Türe” have highlighted the gallery’s role in shaping Potsdam’s cultural identity. Rainer Sperl, also a sculptor and former DEFA film architect, contributes his own works to the program.
