The Extavium is located at Am Kanal 57 in central Potsdam, near the Havel River and only a short walk from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. It is an interactive science center designed especially for children and families, where over 130 hands-on exhibits bring physics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics to life through play and experimentation. Formerly known as the Exploratorium Potsdam, it encourages visitors to explore questions about everyday science through self-guided experiments with air pressure, light, gravity, and sound. The museum’s approachable concept makes science both educational and entertaining for all ages.
