DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam is located at Max-Planck-Straße 17, just above Potsdam’s main railway station on Brauhausberg Hill. The building, originally a terrace restaurant built in the 1970s in modernist GDR style, was reopened in 2022 as a contemporary art museum under the Hasso Plattner Foundation. It serves as a space for dialogue between modern and contemporary art, with exhibitions combining works from the former GDR—many from the Hasso Plattner Collection—and contemporary artists from around the world. The museum’s panoramic terrace overlooks the Havel River and the city’s historic skyline. Nearby are the Museum Barberini, the Filmmuseum Potsdam, St. Nicholas’ Church, Alter Markt, and the Lustgarten. The site is connected by a five-minute walk to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and surrounded by green areas, including the fountains and lawn in front of the blu sports and leisure complex.​
